We have experience with people from all walks of life including students who are on the Spectrum and students who are nervous and anxious about driving. Our lessons are relaxed and tailored to suit your needs and developing speed. We recommend signing up for this course as early as possible as there tends to be a wait for available lessons.

Theory Test

You do not have to have passed your theory test before starting lessons, but we recommend doing your theory test as soon as possible.

Terms & Condition

1. All Cancellations MUST be made at least 48 hours in advance. All cancellations and no shows will be charged at the current hourly rate. On the day of your driving test, lesson fee’s are still payable. The payment of £62 to the DVSA is for the examiner to conduct the test and not for your instructor’s attendance.

 

2. Due to the constant requirement for driving lessons, we work on a 3 Strike system. If you cancel your lesson 3 times your space will be allocated to a new student.

 

3. All lessons will be payable in advance. please pay 48hrs before your lesson if you are paying via bank transfer or at the beginning of your lesson if paying by cash. No credit will be given. If you cancel within the 48-hour notice period you will be charged for that lesson.

4. The drive school reserves the right to withhold its cars if, in the opinion of the instructor, the pupil has not reached the required standard for a driving test.

 

5. The Driving School cannot be held responsible for electrical or mechanical faults occurring during a lesson or test.

 

6. Fitness to drive - It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure they are fit to drive. The driver must ensure they do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Be aware that some prescription and over the counter medicines can cause drowsiness. Tiredness and driving is a lethal combination, should you turn up to your lesson after having little or no sleep your instructor has the right to refuse that lesson. Should you turn up for your lesson and you are deemed unfit to drive by the instructor you will be charged for that lesson.

 

7. Personal hygiene must be adhered to. Our instructors have the right to carry out their duties in a clean and healthy environment.

 

8. Verbal abuse, mistreatment of our vehicles or intentional damage to one of our vehicles will not be tolerated. Physical abuse against an instructor will be reported to the police. Our instructors and vehicles will be treated with respect, or your instructor has the right to cancel any future lessons.

 

9. Should you allow your picture to be taken after your practical test Coffey’s School of Motoring will assume permission is given to use the picture within its online advertising content and website.
